For more than four decades, our story has been one of vision, courage, and an unwavering commitment to doing things differently.

Founded in 2000, Anti-Aging Clinic & Dispensary Inc. was the first advanced medical aesthetics clinic of its kind in Orillia. At a time when non-surgical aesthetic medicine was largely limited to major urban centres, Blade Tiessen returned to his hometown with a bold idea: to bring world-class, science-driven, regenerative treatments to a small community that deserved the very best. What began as a single-room practice with one device has grown into a 3,500 square foot medical aesthetics clinic housing 40+ technologies—many valued at close to $100,000 each—while remaining independently owned and rooted in the community we serve.

Our heritage brand status is not a marketing claim—it is earned history. Blade began his apprenticeship in 1984, became the province’s first male aesthetician upon graduation in 1986, and has worked exclusively in the industry ever since. With more than 40 years in the field and over 26 years serving Orillia, he is recognized as one of Canada’s leading authorities in non-surgical anti-aging, energy-based technologies, and advanced micro-needling. He has educated at international congresses, trained physicians and clinics across North America and Europe, collaborated with global device manufacturers, and helped shape protocols that are still used in practices today.

From introducing micro-needling, radiofrequency, cryotherapy, oxygen therapies, and whole-body vibration to Simcoe County, to becoming a Sofwave® Centre of Excellence and repeatedly earning provincial and national recognition, our clinic has consistently led—not followed—industry standards. Since 2019 alone, we have received 49 Readers’ Choice Awards, multiple Chamber of Commerce Business Achievement Awards, four Corporate Vision Awards, and recognition including Best Botox Clinic of Ontario, Best Med Spa of Ontario, and Best Aesthetics Clinic Ontario 2026. Blade’s induction into Marquis Who’s Who and national honours such as Man of the Year further reflect the authority and credibility behind our name.

Yet awards are only part of our legacy.

Long before “regenerative aesthetics” became a trend, we championed natural, non-surgical, and ethical approaches to aging. As advocates for vegan, cruelty-free, and research-backed practices, we have deliberately resisted fads, prioritizing patient safety, privacy, and long-term results over short-term hype. We do not post client photos. We do not chase trends. We focus on measurable outcomes, scientific integrity, and deeply personalized care.

Over the years, we have expanded our team, our footprint, and our technology—while staying true to our roots. We have supported local charities, collaborated with colleges, mentored future professionals, and invested continuously in education. Blade’s leadership has always emphasized lifelong learning, ethical practice, and giving back to the profession that shaped his life.

Today, as we continue to innovate with AI-driven tools, advanced ultrasound and radiofrequency technologies, and global partnerships, our mission remains unchanged: to help people age confidently, naturally, and with dignity.
